There’s definitely something in the air the last few days. Mine That Bird wins the Kentucky Derby and National Jeweler prints an article discussing – yet again – the pros and cons of online jewelry websites vs. brick and mortar stores. Coincidence? “…online jewelry sales struggled as a whole, and Blue Nile, in particular, lost ground to traditional brick and mortar retail jewelers” the article quotes. Which leaves some retail operators simply giddy. Not so fast, notes Whiteflash.com CEO Debi Wexler who states, “Slowly, slowly, generation by generation, the mindset is changing”.
